“Storyteller” is the tenth original album from the award-winning Norwegian-Irish act Secret Garden. Here, long-time musical partners Rolf Lovland and Fionnuala Sherry include three brand new songs with three distinct vocalists – ”Strength” (featuring Espen Grjotheim), ”Beautiful” (Brian Kennedy) and ”Sunshine” (Cathrine Iversen) sit alongside and complement the undeniably unique instrumental universe that has been charming global audiences for over 20 years, and earned the act 113 Platinum awards from multiple countries around the world.

Louis Thomas Hardin, also known as Moondog, was an American musician, composer, theoretician, poet and inventor of several musical instruments. He was blind from the age of 16. Moondog's music took inspiration from street sounds, such as the subway or a foghorn. It was characterized by what he called "snaketime" and described as "a slithery rhythm, in times that are not ordinary […] I'm not gonna die in 4/4 time". Many of his works were highly contrapuntal, and he worked hard on counterpoint.

These three delightfully lyrical concerti, with themes respectively of love, harmony, and peace, are all distinct. The middle work is similar to the art of the late composer Lou Harrison, and indeed the canonic and the dance variations of Concerto No. 2 employ a gamelan ensemble as many of Harrison's works. However, Kyr is even more a romantic, and his sweet spiritual music soars and envelops the listener.

Tra questi il pianista friulano Glauco Venier che ha dato alle stampe un CD con ben 15 tracce estrapolate dal repertorio waitsiano di oltre un ventennio (dall'album The Heart of Saturday night del 1974 a Mule Variation del 1999).

Glauco Venier non ha bisogno di presentazioni. I suoi progetti non sono mai scontati e conservano sempre sorprese e momenti di alta originalità. Symphonika è uno di questi: un cofanetto che contiene un cd e un dvd per documentare al meglio un lavoro studiato e realizzato assieme al maestro Michele Corcella, che ne ha curato gli arrangiamenti e orchestrato il tutto. Walther Themel è il direttore d'orchestra con lo stesso Venier al pianoforte. Symphonika è un progetto che si può definire a metà strada tra filologia linguistica e jazz, e non solo.

Avengers: Endgame (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the score album for the 2019 Marvel Studios film of the same name. It is the fourth film in the Avengers film franchise and the 22nd in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The score soundtrack is composed by Alan Silvestri, who also composed the score soundtracks for both the first and third Avengers films.

Although Mozart is known primarily as a pianist, he was a violinist at the court of Salzburg until he walked out in 1781 to carry out an independent career in Vienna. These sonatas belong to two sets of six, one published in Paris in 1778, when Mozart first sought to leave Salzburg, the other in Vienna in 1781, right after he resigned. These pieces were meant to serve as a calling card, but Mozart went well beyond this sole intention.

Melvyn Tan embraces three centuries keyboard style tracing the inspirations for Ravel’s ground-breaking works for piano. By exploring new pianistic territory, Ravel mirrored Scarlatti and Liszt in experimenting and expanding the possibilities of the keyboard, now setting it free in highly coloured, impressionistic washes of sound which evoke situations, landscapes and characters.

Timeless Dizzy Gillespie represents a nice single-disc overview of the bop stylings that the influential trumpeter/vocalist recorded during the late '40s and early '50s. Although there are better and more representative compilations out there, the Savoy Timeless series is a nice place for curious listeners to start.
