Going over the top was never what Tesla did best, and Psychotic Supper shows enough variation and occasional understatement to retain the listener's interest…

Noted for the beauty of her voice and ability to freshen up the most tired lyric, Susannah McCorkle left behind an impressive and large body of work at the time of her death in 2001. Ballad Essentials concentrates onMcCorkle's softer side, collecting a dozen pieces recorded for Concord between 1983 and 2000. A remarkable cadre including Ken Peplowski, Emily Remler, and Bucky Pizzarelli join her on a variety of standards by Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hart, and the Gershwin brothers.

A universally admired interpreter of Beethoven's music, Daniel Barenboim is both pianist and conductor in these celebrated performances of the composer's five piano concertos. And it is to the Klavier-Festival Ruhr that Barenboim has entrusted the honour of being allowed to make what is as yet his only video recording of this pianistic cosmos, now available for the first time on Blu-ray Disc. The orchestra is one of the oldest in the world, the venerable Staatskapelle Berlin.

Long Ambients 2 is the sixteenth studio album by American electronic musician, songwriter, and producer Moby, released on March 15, 2019. It is the sequel to his previous ambient album, Long Ambients 1: Calm. Sleep. (2016). He had struggled to find music that helped him sleep better, so he decided to compose himself. He intended the music to also help people calm down, reduce anxiety, and aid in their own sleep issues.

2019 marks a decade since Bibio released his first LP on Warp. As such, it seems fitting that Stephen Wilkinson will mark the occasion with new album Ribbons, his seventh for the label and the tenth of an impressive career.

When the Scorpions finally broke through to the mainstream in 1982, RCA released numerous compilations of the band's earlier work from the '70s. By no means should one think The Best of the Scorpions is for diehards only – the music here is quite enjoyable. RCA would go on to release several more Scorpions compilations (Best Of, Vol. 2, Hot & Heavy, Best of Rockers 'n' Ballads, etc.), but the original Best Of is still the wisest purchase.

Since 1991, a complete edition of all recordings in which Karlheinz Stockhausen has personally participated is being released on compact discs. Each CD in this series is identified by Stockhausen's signature followed by an encircled number. The numbers indicate the general historical order of the works. Stockhausen realised the electronic music and participated in these recordings as conductor, performer, sound projectionist, and musical director. He personally mixed down the recordings, mastered them for CDs, wrote the texts and drew the covers.
