Koan is the Duo comprised of Daniel Roeth and William Grey, and are based in Moscow, Russia. Daniel had been spinning vinyl since 1993 in local clubs; mainly Acid and Hard Techno. In 1995 he met William, who already had some experience in music making and sampler technologies. Together they founded two projects, "Koan" for Downtempo and "Vacuum Stalkers" for more Progressive/Tech stuff. Daniel soon left his career as a DJ and put all of his energy into the studio work. William took on the role of Sampler Programming/Producer. During 1995-2005 they wrote and recorded a lot of tracks, some of which disappeared in time bubbles and some of which were released and had a lot of success in local Moscow clubs. The real success came after the release of their first album "Talking Stones" (2005) and their second album release "The Signs" (2005).

Focusing on composition as much as performance, this intriguing programme of originals balances form and structure with free-flowing improvisation. Lifespan is an album that sneaks up gradually; there is much to recommend in this set which is long on lyricism, short on unnecessary displays of technique. The members of this group can play and they know it; consequently the emphasis is on taking the compositional frameworks that newcomer Kris Davis provides and expanding on them in ways that shows everyone's abilities while being, at the same time, somehow selfless.

With this double CD we celebrate Francesco Geminiani's 250th anniversary (1687-1762). It's incomprehensible that a contemporary of Handel whose compositions are every bit as good as Handel's has been so neglected. There are comprehensive sleeve notes but Somm’s principle hope is to convince the listener of the beauty and expressiveness of Geminiani's music which compares very favourably with his contemporary, Handel, with whom he performed for King George I in 1714. Contains a World Premiere Recording.

Hiroyuki Sawano is a Japanese composer and musician best known for his work on many anime, TV series, and movies.

Finally, an official reissue from the master tapes of this early 1970 underground hard rocker recorded in Austin, Texas at Sonobeat studio (same as the infamous Mariani). Original vinyl pressings are insanely rare and only a handful have been reported in collectors hands over the years. Sounds a lot like Demian to these ears, but perhaps with even louder and more screaming lead guitar. Booklet features photos and liner notes.

Super Trouper was the UK's biggest selling album of 1980 and a worldwide blockbuster. The album reflected a change in style, returning them to the Pop/Rock sound typical of their earlier albums. This Deluxe Edition features the digitally remastered version of the original album plus bonus tracks. The DVD contains a number of television performances of tracks from the Super Trouper album, none of which have been released on DVD before plus the vintage documentary Words And Music.
