Three-time Grammy-winning, genre-defying collective Snarky Puppy will release their new album, Immigrance, on March 15 via GroundUP Music. The album is produced by bassist-composer Michael League, who founded Snarky Puppy in 2003 and has helmed it into one of the most popular and influential bands of the current jazz and instrumental-music renaissance.

Yes have announced the release of a new live album, Topographic Drama, that was recorded during the band’s U.S. tour in 2016-17. The set arrives on Nov. 24 in double-CD and triple-vinyl formats, with sleeve artwork by longtime collaborator Roger Dean.

WOMAD is the World of Music, Arts & Dance (founded by the musician Peter Gabriel in 1982), and WOMADelaide, the Australian WOMAD festival, kicked off in 1992. Over the past 20 years WOMADelaide has become one of the nation's favourite outdoor festivals. WOMAD takes place March 10th-13th at the Botanic Park, Adelaide. Featuring key acts performing at WOMAD such as Archie Roach, Sinkane, The Hot 8 Brass Band and The East Pointers.

On "Tribute To Lucienne Boyer", the formation is dedicated to the pieces of French singer Lucienne Boyer, who was discovered as a singer in 1916 at the age of 13 years and in the first 30 years of the 20th century in cabarets, including the Théâtre de L 'Athénée, Concordia, L'Eldorado and even sang on Broadway in New York. The Broadway attitude is also omnipresent on the upcoming tribute album. Flahault breathes, scratches and sings passionately through the eight tracks, cello, piano, trombone and clarinet support her powerfully and lively.

This unusual album is an unlikely success. Altoist John Zorn, who is best-known for his avant-garde flights and rather eccentric concept albums, here plays it fairly straight. He interprets seven compositions (all fairly obscure) by the somewhat forgotten hard bop pianist Sonny Clark including "Cool Struttin'," "Voodoo" and "Sonny's Crib." With alert support from pianist Wayne Horvitz, bassist Ray Drummond and drummer Bobby Previte, Zorn creates fairly boppish solos with occasional hints at more advanced improvising techniques.
