Some of the most brilliant writing of the 19th century is found in the nine operas Rossini wrote for the Teatro san Carlo in Naples. Ricciardo e Zoraide is the fifth of these, written in 1818. In the opera, Ricciardo, Zoraide’s persistent and ingenious suitor, comes to the rescue and saves her by devious means. Bruce Ford and William Matteuzzi recreate their spectacular tenor partnership of the 1990 Rossini Opera Festival revival. Nelly Miricioiu, Della Jones and Alastair Miles complete a starry cast.

Steve Masakowski is jazz guitarist, educator, and inventor. He invented the guitar-based keytar and the switch pick and has designed three, custom-built seven-string guitars. He developed an approach to playing the guitar by using his pick design, allowing him to switch from fingerpicking to flatpicking. He has released solo albums and has worked with Johnny Adams, Mose Allison, Dave Liebman, Ellis Marsalis, Jr., Carl Fontana, Rick Margitza, Bobby McFerrin, Nicholas Payton, Dianne Reeves, Sam Rivers, Woody Shaw, Alvin Tyler, and Bennie Wallace. Since 1987, he has been a member of the band Astral Project.

This album is a great mix of flamenco and jazz, and to a lesser extent, rock, ultimately, blending the acoustic guitar,flute, and horns on most tracks. There's also a couple of departures from the theme, with one heavily punk-rock song, and another song with a reggae sound, but both still have flamenco elements, even though they're solidly within their respective generes.

Following the demise of The Sex Pistols, Malcolm McLaren formed Bow Wow Wow in 1980 from former members of Adam And The Ants and a 14-year-old Myint Myint Aye (Burmese for “High High Cool”), who was spotted singing while working a Saturday job at her local dry cleaners, and soon renamed Annabella Lwin.

In March 2017, One Little Indian issued Watch Our Planet Circle, a six-disc box set that brings together the back catalogue of nineties indie-pop outfit Kitchens Of Distinction. The six-CD set includes remastered versions of the band’s four studio albums (issued in the years between 1989 and 1996) along with discs devoted to B-sides and BBC Sessions.
