Composed of six members all in their twenties, Kvazar does exist since 1998. After having listened to its first eponymous album, published three years later on the Musea label, it's hard to believe this is a first work! Fully mature and personal, the music displayed by this current Norwegian band is without any doubt in the same vein as other Scandinavian School bands like Anekdoten, Anglagard and Landberk: influences inherited from King Crimson, an intimate sadness (Mellotron) and a dark romanticism… At times, one could imagine that, if Camel was to be born close to the Arctic Polar Circle, it would sound like this. But Kvazar's music is different and more eclectic…
