Laurelie was one of the first bands from the Belgian progressive scene - along with Waterloo, Irish Coffee, Jenghiz Khan & Mad Curry. Their eponymous and now very expensive album was released in early 1970 on Triangle label. This minor psych-prog masterpiece (with plenty of nice flute parts) was still rooted in the late 60's songwriting tradition, when condensed tracks were preferred over improvisations. On the other hand, an amazing (and 10-minutes long) opening track was typical progressive offering - with everchanging moods and lots ofguitar, Hammond organ and flute interplay. This premiere CD is necessary for fans of early Jethro Tull, Traffic, The Moody Blues and Cressida. Laurelie split up the same year and bassist Pierre Raepsaet went to Jenghiz Khan.

2010 four CD anthology from the British Blues legend. John Mayall's band, The Bluesbreakers, were undoubtedly a hot-house for the British Blues scene in the late '60s and early `70s and it's quite staggering when you examine the roll call of floating members who served their apprenticeship with John Mayall including Jack Bruce, Eric Clapton, Mick Fleetwood, Peter Green, Keef Hartley, John McVie, Mick Taylor and Steve Winwood. This lavish box set contains 74 tracks, all newly remastered from the original master tapes, including five tracks released in Europe on CD for the first time. The 40-page booklet features sleevenotes by Mark Powell with rare and previously unseen photographs.

This essential set finishes off with three previously unissued performances from a 1964 Carnegie Hall Concert, concluding with a remake of "The Girl From Ipanema." The "Erotic Soul" album by the Larry Page Orchestra is a collection of instrumental tracks that blend elements of soul, funk, and orchestral music. Larry Page, known primarily as a music producer and manager, orchestrated this album to capture the essence of the sultry and sensual side of soul music. The album typically features lush string arrangements, smooth brass sections, and groovy rhythms, creating a seductive and laid-back atmosphere. While detailed track listings and specific release information might be less commonly found, the album's title and its association with Larry Page suggest a focus on evocative, soulful compositions designed to appeal to fans of instrumental and orchestral soul music from the 1970s and 1980s.

The band's fifth release, Rain Dances is Camel at its best, offering the most consistent and representative package in their saga. The addition of Caravan-cofounder Richard Sinclair proves profitable, as do a few colorist touches by Brian Eno on "Elke." Mel Collins' woodwinds are among the highlights, especially on "Tell Me" and the title track. From beginning to end, this project flows gracefully.

This album was the first of the most successful incarnation of Fleetwood Mac, where Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Christine McVie to form the legendary band who continues to be highly successful to this day. The album introduced a more radio-friendly sound and a new beginning and by 1977 the monolith of Rumours would make them one of the biggest bands on the planet.

First launched by EMI UK in 1988, The Classic Experience took the Britain by storm, riding high in the UK charts alongside the top rock and pop albums of the day. The recently launched CD format was just beginning to take-off and there was a new hunger for discovery of great classical music amongst the mass market. Three more volumes appeared over the following years making it one of the most successful classical compilation series of all time. The album covers were a particular point of interest, featuring specially commissioned artworks which includes visual references from the music featured on the discs. Listeners would spend hours searching the cover artwork looking to recognise the smallest of details! To mark the 25th anniversary of the launch of this series, all four volumes are brought together into one attractive 8CD clamshell box set.

Mozart’s “Idomeneo” is a lyrical tragedy and is considered Mozart’s greatest choral opera. It is composed in the baroque tradition of the opera seria; however, Mozart excels at giving it new traits and forms. He also exerted his influence on the dramaturgy, shortened parts to increase their effect, increased the suspense with a dense use of instruments and wrote the marvellous ballet music.

This massive set brings together all six of the Circus Days collections, and taken as a whole like this, it’s about as much British late-'60s psych-pop as anyone outside of an insane asylum could possibly handle. One wonders what these musicians were putting in their tea. Opening with Clover's “Ice Cream Man” (the lyrics begin “Riding down the road like a giant toad in rubber boots” and then unravel from there), this set is part flower power, part circus clown act, and part tongue-in-cheek put-on (one hopes).
