1970s hard rock power trio from Michigan led by guitarist & vocalist Paul Frank. This group from Detroit was formed in late 60s by Paul Frank (guitar, vocals), Michael Urso (bass, vocals) and John Bredeau (drums). After signing to Capitol, they recorded a self-titled debut at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, although a couple of tracks were recorded live at Detroit's Eastown Theatre. The album was issued in June 1971. The music is heavy rock very powerful in the vein of early Grand Funk Railroad, Cactus and of course Led Zeppelin. Despite some positive reviews and various gigs (they opened for Frank Zappa and The Mothers at Fiilmore East in NYC) Head Over Heels didn't last much longer and disbanded circa 1972.

Both stages of recording, before and after Mercury's death, were completed at the band's studio in Montreux, Switzerland. The album debuted at number 1 in the UK where it went 5× platinum. The album became the band's best-selling studio album, selling over 19 million copies around the world.

Recording a cover of any reasonably well-known song is always a balancing act. How do you make something new enough for it to be worth the effort without shattering the appeal of the original? A cover, as opposed to an interpretation of a traditional song, carries with it an implicit debt to someone else’s creativity, and a corresponding duty to honour that creativity. It’s tough to get right – the deluge of frankly appalling tribute acts that have flooded the live music scene in recent years is proof enough of that – but on the rare occasions it does work, it can seem like a kind of alchemy.

Recorded during her Speak Now World Tour in 2011, this live recording collects 16 performances from the country-pop starlet, including all 14 songs from her 2010 studio outing Speak Now, as well as covers of Train's "Drops of Jupiter" and Kim Carnes' "Bette Davis Eyes." The DVD/Blu-ray disc that accompanies some editions of World Tour Live: Speak Now features 18 performances, as well as home movies and rehearsal footage for the show, which was an elaborate affair that utilized dancers, aerialists, numerous costume changes, and a mammoth, multi-stage setup that more closely resembled a high-profile Broadway musical than it did a country music concert.

2012 two CD collection from the British Psych-Rock band. Now widely considered to have been one of the finest groups to emerge from the British Psychedelic Pop scene, Kaleidoscope signed to the Fontana label in the epochal year of 1967. Over the next couple of years, they issued two magnificent albums, Tangerine Dream and Faintly Blowing, as well as a quintet of vibrant, inventive, highly commercial singles. Somehow, though, they failed to achieve the glittering prizes that everyone predicted would be theirs. Frustrated by their lack of success, and with a heavier musical climate taking hold, they ended the decade with a change of name to Fairfield Parlour and a new deal with progressive Rock label Vertigo. But, as singer and lyricist Peter Daltrey observed at the end of Kaleidoscope's debut album, the children stayed children, and they lived in their dreams. Undoubtedly the definitive Kaleidoscope package, Further Reflections assembles the group's entire recorded legacy for the Fontana label under one roof for the first time. Relax your eyes, for after all, we can but share these minutes…

This album finds Anita O'Day's swinging singing backed by cool-toned arrangements from Jimmy Giuffre. Although the orchestra is surprisingly anonymous, the ensembles fit O'Day's voice well on tunes such as "Mack the Knife," "Gone with the Wind," "Come Rain or Come Shine," "The Way You Look Tonight" and even "Hooray for Hollywood." All of O'Day's recordings for Verve in the 1950s are recommended, and this set is no exception.

British band Raw Material recorded two albums between 1970-1971, and the second album from the band, "Time Is…" is a strong collection of mostly Proto-prog styled pieces with light psych, jazz and folk elements. Due to the inclusion of saxophone/flute player Mike Fletcher, fans of the sax dominated early King Crimson albums and Van der Graaf Generator will find much to appeal here, with bands such as Beggars Opera, Pink Floyd and Novalis also other possible little reference points. It's not an album that instantly impresses, instead one that gradually reveals the consistently strong instrumental and compositional skills of the band on repeated plays.
