180 Gram Vinyl LP. Debut is the international debut studio album by Icelandic recording artist Björk,[nb 1] released in July 1993 by One Little Indian and Elektra Entertainment. It was produced by Björk and Nellee Hooper. It was Björk's first recording following the dissolution of her previous band, the Sugarcubes. The album departed from the rock style of her previous work and drew from an eclectic variety of styles, including electronic pop, house music, jazz and trip hop.

Living Eyes was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales during a break in the band’s 1978 tour of Britain and Europe. Relations between members were falling apart and Sire had dropped the band prior to the start of recording.

Like the joker, who can turn up in different roles and guises, these musicians take turns in this trio: the extraordinary accordion player Vincent Peirani, who makes switching between Led Zeppelin and Purcell look easy, Italian guitarist Federico Casagrande and drummer Ziv Ravitz from New York, who has become a well-known performer at the BIMHUIS. All three of them have an equal and complimentary role, becoming by turns a soloist, a rhythmist, a colorist, and so on. They incorporate all kinds of music from all over the world.

The first of Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser's exploitive cosmic space rock albums is also the best, and certainly kicks the seat out of the many jam bands that arose in the '90s. Unlike most "super groups" who collapse under the weight of their own hubris, the Cosmic Jokers, who were never really a proper group anyway, almost improve upon the sound of their precursors, namely Manuel Göttsching and Klaus Schulze from acid-jam-supreme Ash Ra Tempel, and Jurgen Dollase and Harald Grosskopf from blitzkrieg psychedelic Wallenstein.

We Insist! (subtitled Max Roach's Freedom Now Suite) is a jazz album released on Candid Records in 1960. It contains a suite which composer and drummer Max Roach and lyricist Oscar Brown had begun to develop in 1959 with a view to its performance in 1963 on the centennial of the Emancipation Proclamation. The cover references the sit-in movement of the Civil Rights Movement. The Penguin Guide to Jazz awarded the album one of its rare crown accolades, in addition to featuring it as part of its Core Collection.

The Count Meets the Duke is an album by American pianists, composers and bandleaders Duke Ellington and Count Basie with their combined Orchestras recorded and released on the Columbia label in 1961. On stereo releases of the album, Basie's band is featured on the left channel and Ellington's on the right.

Born in Mozambique, pianist Edgar Wilson enrolled in the Vienna Academy of Music at the age of 21 to study with, among others, the acclaimed classical pianist Friedrich Gulda. Wilson gravitated towards jazz, however – a musical direction that his Mozambique roots served him well. Centered in Munich, he has become a staple on the German music scene, touring extensively with jazz violinist Hannes Beckmann, and soul jazz drummer George Greene’s band. Wilson’s 1979 debut album pairs him with bassist N.H. Ørsted Pedersen, whose work with the likes of Dexter Gordon and Oscar Peterson has garnered him near-legendary status.

Bobby Timmons became famous for his funky piano solos and for his ability to write catchy songs. He was actually a well-rounded Jazz pianist who was more versatile than many thought. "Holiday Soul" is an album of Christmas music originally released on the Prestige label. Critic Marc Myers selected it for his Vintage Holiday Album Hall of Fame in 2015.

The second Cosmic Jokers album, though originally not released under their name, offers another pair of sidelong roller-coaster rides into the cosmic void from the same musicians as the first album, with added vocals from guitarist Göttsching's girlfriend, Rosi Muller, and producer Kaiser's girlfriend Gille Lettmann. Whereas the Ash Ra Tempel elements were more dominant on the earlier record, this one relies more heavily on the conventional psychedelic sounds of the Wallenstein faction, though not to the point where it loses that loose Ash Ra vibe.

The Chilean pianist Claudio Arrau (1903-1991) combined as an interpreter pianistic grandeur with philosophical depth and poetic empathy. What is interesting about this pianist is not the piano playing per se, but the interpretation of music, which is documented in this collection box on 24 CDs. It contains the early and middle recordings of Claudio Arrau, because after 1962 he recorded for Philips, Decca and other labels.
