Winner of the Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition (2019) and BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists (2021-2023), Mithras Trio has gained recognition as one of the most engaging young piano trios. Its debut recording on Linn is a stimulating programme of works by Bridge, Grime, Erod and Ginastera. Titled Eros, it invites several associations with the Greek god of love: the allure of the female form is heard in Helen Grime's sparkling Three Whistler Miniatures, as is the beautiful maiden in Alberto Ginastera's Danza de la moza donosa. Frank Bridge's Phantasie Trio drips with hyperromantic indulgence, while Ivan Erod's Piano Trio No. 1, a nod to the title, is a work that marries Haydn and post-Bartok Hungarian folk influence, with some French Impressionist harmonies and no small element of jazz!

After the success of Officina Romana (awarded 5 Diapasons, 5 stars in Musica , and selected amongst the best albums in Le Monde in 2021), Le Stagioni, under the direction of Paolo Zanzu, invites the listener on a journey through 17th-century Venice in the company of outstanding singers: Emmanuelle de Negri, Blandine Staskiewicz, Paul-Antoine Bénos-Djian, Zachary Wilder and Salvo Vitale. From 1637 to 1645, between the opening of the first public opera houses and the start of the Cretan War, Venice witnessed a musical blossoming of international significance.

Shaker Loops is a 1978 composition by American composer John Adams, originally written for string septet. The original "modular" score, published by Associated Music Publisher, has since been withdrawn and replaced by a 1983 string orchestra version. This version was first performed in April of that year at Alice Tully Hall, New York, by the American Composers Orchestra, conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas. The string orchestra version can be played either by a septet of soloists or by a string orchestra of any size, where the violins are divided into 3 parts throughout.

Quadrophenia is the Who's second Rock Opera. Based around the story of Jimmy - double-album masterpiece "Quadrophenia" tells the tale of a young mod and his struggle to come of age in the mid-1960s. The project was intended to reflect the four characters of The Who and features some of Townshend's most inspired, personal song-writing - way ahead of its time in scope and purpose and is one of the most widely recognized albums of The Who's career because of its classic depiction of mod culture, its renowned imagery and the magnificent music and powerful performances.

This 1957 album from late jazz vocalist and pianist Blossom Margrete Dearie was her debut for Verve and her first American release after spending five years in France. Dearie is backed by guitarist Herb Ellis, bassist Ray Brown and drummer Jo Jones on a collection of standards by composers including Oscar Hammerstein II, Hart and Rodgers, Frank Loesser and others.

In the past few years, however, Kuhn has been revisiting his past and recorded several straight jazz albums that proved he was still a capable pianist.
