Hailing from the vibrant city of Copenhagen, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra (DNSO), known in its native tongue as "DR Symfoniorkestret", stands as a resplendent emblem of Denmark's illustrious musical legacy. As the principal orchestra of the revered Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR), it has found its home within the contemporary architectural splendor of the Koncerthuset, or 'The Concert House' in English.

Accompanying for KING + COUNTRY’s highly anticipated feature film, Unsung Hero, comes Unsung Hero: Inspired By Soundtrack (out 4/26/24). The 11-track collection showcases original music both heard in the film and inspired by the Smallbone family’s story of radical risk, bravery, and faith. Boasting reimagined versions of Christian music’s most iconic hits, as well as a handful of new songs, the official soundtrack also includes a wealth of A-list collaborations with artists like Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Rebecca St. James, Stryper, Lee Brice, Hillary Scott, and more.

In January it was revealed that Thom Yorke composed the original score for Daniele Luchetti’s film Confidenza, an adaptation of the Italian drama based on Domenico Starnone’s novel of the same name, now it gets released physically on XL. Confidenza follows Yorke’s previous full-length score and original soundtrack for Luca Guadagnino’s 2018 Suspiria remake, Suspirium receiving a GRAMMY-nomination for Best Song Written for Visual Media. Produced by Sam Petts-Davies (Suspiria, The Smile Wall Of Eyes), Confidenza sees Petts-Davies and Yorke working again with the London Contemporary Orchestra alongside a jazz ensemble which included Robert Stillman and fellow The Smile bandmate Tom Skinner.

On L’Affaire Dominici (1973), Alain Goraguer creates a theme of great melodic clarity from a palette of breathy flutes, clavinet D6 baroque textures, wah-wah guitars and slow-paced drums that clearly reminds La Planete Sauvage’s atmosphere.

French composer Alain Goraguer who first made a name for himself as a sideman and arranger for Serge Gainsbourg wrote very few soundtracks, but amongst them, the legendary La Planète Sauvage (1973) is an absolute staple of France’s essential music.

When performances of the new Broadway musical The Notebook begin Thursday (March 14), the team behind the show based on the beloved Nicholas Sparks novel (which itself became a now-classic film starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams) will have something else big to celebrate, too. Billboard can exclusively announce that Atlantic Records will release The Notebook (Original Broadway Cast Recording) on April 19.

Lost In Translation was the soundtrack to Sofia Coppola’s Academy Award winning movie of the same name. The soundtrack earned supervisor / composers Brian Reitzell and Kevin Shields a BAFTA nomination. It featured five Kevin Shields tracks (one of which was a My Bloody Valentine track) it also featured artists including; Air, Death in Vegas, Squarepusher and The Jesus and Mary Chain.

Among the many things Eddie Vedder wears on his sleeve is his love of the Chicago Cubs. He was there during the Cubbies' historic World Series win of 2016, singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the seventh inning stretch of Game 5, an honor for a fan who held the team dear since a child, but earlier in the season, he and Pearl Jam saluted the Cubs with a pair of August concerts at Wrigley Field. Back to Black is a 2024 biographical drama film based on the life of British singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse, played by Marisa Abela. Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and written by Matt Greenhalgh, the film also stars Jack O'Connell, Eddie Marsan, and Lesley Manville.

The Belgian-Congolese rapper and visual artist Baloji held the world premiere of his feature debut Omen at the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival. Omen, which is in competition in Un Certain Regard, centers around a rejected Congolese man named Koffi (Marc Zinga). He returns to the Democratic Republic of Congo with his pregnant European fiancée Alice (Lucie Debay) after a lengthy exile to share their happy news, only to be faced by the traditional demands of a family who still view him with disregard.

There are two quite distinct faces to the world of the rock musician: faces so contrasting that it is little wonder that so many contemporary stars appear at times to have lost touch with any kind of reality. While mass adulation hounds and sometimes even destroys the successful ones, the road to that status remains a golden dream for generation after generation of young people. In the immense Goblin discography, an enormous void has always been represented by the original motion picture soundtrack of Squadra Antimafia, a score which we have tried to find, since many years, but that is apparently lost. A 1978 movie full of absolute cult icons among which Tomas Milian, Bombolo, Enzo Cannavale, Eli Wallach, Massimo Vanni directed by Bruno Corbucci: to this incredible list of stars to add Goblin is exciting. So, a while ago, following the initiative of Fabio Capuzzo, veteran musicians of the prog and funky Italian scene are involved and gathered to work to a new recording session of this amazing score. The result isn’t intercepted too late by Beat Records radars and so we are proud to give a discographic life to this wonderful project through which, with extreme precision and care has been realized again the soundtrack now expressed through the sonorities of Marcello Bonetta (keyboards), Diego Vergari (drums, percussions) Giorgio Giuseppe Tonazzo (bass), Antonio Micheli (Guitar).
