The group were finishing off a huge US tour that had roared down the east coast then across the Midwest and by the time they hit LA, as Brian recalls the group was performing at their height.
The show opens with a hyper fast version of 'Beginning Again' due to drummer Steve Ferrone being almost an hour late and running high on adrenaline, Brian remembers thinking “I don’t even know if I can play it that fast!”. Fortunately, he and the Oblivion Express including stellar vocalist Alex Ligertwood rise to the challenge and the result is akin to some frenetic jazzy drum & bass but also pushes the group onto another level altogether for the rest of the show. Across both volumes there are no fillers and the highlights are many, but especially the epic version of 'Maiden Voyage' which Mos Def sampled on his 1997 'If You Can Huh! You Can Hear', and both DJ Mitsu in 2004 and 2017 Crimeapple both dipped into Live Oblivion to sample that fire for their own projects.

Live At Racket, NYC features seven tracks the band performed at the intimate launch event on October 19, 2023, with debut live performances of “Angry,” “Bite My Head Off,” “Whole Wide World,” and “Sweet Sounds of Heaven (with Lady Gaga).” Previously only available as a bonus disc on the 2 CD Live Edition of Hackney Diamonds, the band’s first studio album of new material since 2005. Capturing the band at this classic venue during their Fall Tour ‘97 apex, The Spectrum ’97 celebrates a standout two-night run across 33 songs, and features a Soundcheck Bonus. The classic run of shows are mixed from the band’s multitracks and mastered. Recorded live by Paul Languedoc, mixed from multitrack by Jon Altschiller, and mastered by Fred Kevorkian.

This was the very first Yes bootleg album . It was recorded live in Amsterdam in January 1972 during Yes' classic 1972 period with the classic Yes lineup which at that time had Bill Bruford on drums. The sound quality is fantastic and professionally recorded. The only issue with the album is the editing which has taken place cutting short some of the tracks. This should have ideally been a double or triple album to preserve the integrity of the original concert and track lengths. To the best of my knowledge the rest of this amazing show has never surfaced since. For a true Yes fan this is a must buy. The album is also very rare so catch it if you can !

Live At The L.A. Forum presents an extraordinary April 1969 performance by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Before a raucous, sold-out house, Hendrix, drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Noel Redding tore through a unique set featuring highlights such as "I Don't Live Today," "Purple Haze," "Red House,"and an astonishing medley of "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" and Cream's "Sunshine Of Your Love". This pristine recording, newly mixed by Hendrix's longtime engineer Eddie Kramer, captures the original Jimi Hendrix Experience in their unrivaled, peak form. A portion of this performance was previously included as part of a short-lived Westwood One radio documentary box set [Lifelines 1990-1992] but has been unavailable in any form for two decades and this marks the first time ever that it will be available on vinyl. The double LP release in gorgeous gatefold packaging and a 12 page 12"x12" book–complete with liner notes from ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons who witnessed the show first hand–gives this seminal performance its proper platform, presenting the complete performance mixed directly from the original eight-track master tapes.
