In September 2022, The Beths released their third album, Expert In A Dying Field. The response was immediately positive and earned them a place on a great deal of Best-Album-of-the-Year lists like Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and Stereogum, to name a few. One year later, the band will release Expert In A Dying Field (Deluxe) with bonus material, including singles “A Real Thing” and “Watching The Credits,” along with acoustic and demo versions of album tracks and one never-before-heard demo “Keep The Distance.”

In the summer of 2010, a Russian violinist by the name of Evgeny Sviridov participated in the Leipzig Bach Competition. And he went home as a winner - much to the surprise of his teacher in St. Petersburg, who knew nothing about it. One year later, the young man's debut CD featuring works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber was released, and critics were speechless, for he played "so refreshingly, full of life and breath, as if he had just written this music himself." His latest recording for cpo is dedicated to the Bohemian composer and violinist Franz Benda who came from a very modest background to make a career at the court of Frederick II of Prussia.

"Gerry Mulligan and the Concert Jazz Band at the Village Vanguard" is a live album recorded by American jazz saxophonist and bandleader Gerry Mulligan featuring performances recorded at the Village Vanguard in late 1960 which were originally released on the Verve label in 1961.

"People" was Barbra Streisand's fourth studio album, released in 1964. The title track was a newly recorded version of the hit song from the Broadway musical "Funny Girl" in which Streisand starred. It was her first album of many to #1 on the Billboard Album Chart.

Tenor saxophonist Hank Mobley had been recording for Blue Note for a decade when he made his excellent 1965 album A Caddy for Daddy featuring a first-class sextet with Lee Morgan on trumpet, Curtis Fuller on trombone, McCoy Tyner on piano, Bob Cranshaw on bass, and Billy Higgins on drums.

Though it wouldn’t first be released until 1980 as part of the LT Series, Stanley Turrentine’s Mr. Natural is a standout recording in the soulful tenor saxophonist’s immense 1960s Blue Note catalog. Turrentine had already led 12 dates for the label from his hard bop debut Look Out! in 1960 to the soul jazz workout Hustlin’ recorded in January 1964. That Fall the saxophonist was back in Rudy Van Gelder’s Englewood Cliffs studio at the helm of a cutting-edge modern jazz group with Lee Morgan on trumpet, McCoy Tyner on piano, Bob Cranshaw on bass, and Elvin Jones on drums with Ray Barretto joining on congas for several songs.

On the weekend of 17th March 2023, thousands of Marillion fans travelled from over 45 different countries around the world for the 21st Anniversary of the Marillion Weekends and the first Port Zelande Weekend for four years. The centrepiece of the Weekend was the definitive live performance of the critically acclaimed album “An Hour Before It’s Dark”. Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis invited three titan tenor sax players to join him and his quartet in the studio for Very Saxy for what amounted to a jam session. The Penguin Guide to Jazz included "Very Saxy" on its list of suggestions for a core collection of essential jazz albums.

Anders Muskens, fortepianist, presents piano sonatas by Beethoven on an original historical pianoforte from Beethoven’s time, built by John Broadwood & Sons in London circa 1806. This instrument is built in the English tradition of the late 18th and early 19th century, and its design is significantly different from those used in modern pianos by Steinway, Fazioli, Yamaha, and others. The Broadwood was restored in Amsterdam by Paul Kobald during 2022. The recording is presented with support from the Canada Council for the Arts.

For Remixes JID020, the label has tapped a few of their favorite contemporary artists and producers to offer their own take on the music of Series 2. The album features a variety of dynamic personalities with remixes from London based artists Shabaka Hutchins and Theon Cross, New York tastemaker Melanie Charles, LA based producer Bei Ru, Brazil’s Dj Nyack, Detroit based producer Tall Black Guy, Bay Area producer Mophono and the LA based house duo LO & Diisko.

His new live album, 'Night In The City', was recorded at City Winery in Nashville, TN in 2021, and features Ford with Nate Smith on drums, Anton Nesbit on bass, Jeff Coffin and Jovan Quallo on saxophones.
