"Strauss: Metamorphoses & Wind Sonatina No. 1" is the second album in a series of six that the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg will release on the Berlin Classics label until 2025. For this album, the orchestra has chosen the internationally renowned conductor Riccardo Minasi. Originally, a concert under his baton was to take place at Salzburg's "Großes Festspielhaus" in the 2020/21 season, but like so many events, it had to be canceled. Instead, the decision was made to record with repertoire whose instrumentation sizes were appropriate to the conditions: Richard Strauss "Metamorphosen" for 23 solo strings and the first Sonatina for 16 wind instruments.

Pianist Kyra Zhao says that "Vibrant, just like the title sounds, is a colorful excursion taking the listener's ear on a journey from the dreamy seashore to the roaring thunder and from intimate friendship encounters to triumphant marches." The works by Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, and Schumann are essential repertoire of the Romantic to the early 20th century era. Hailed by New York Concert Review as "A born performer" pianist Kyra Xuerong Zhao has achieved an international reputation in many countries as a concert pianist.

Ivan Repušić made his debut as principal conductor of the Munich Radio Orchestra in September 2017 with Giuseppe Verdi's "Luisa Miller". It was followed by "I due Foscari" in October 2018 and "Attila" in October 2019 (the complete recordings have already been released by BR-KLASSIK on CD 900323, 900328 and 900330). His successful cycle of early masterpieces by the Italian opera composer continues with the recent concert performance on April 23, 2023 of Verdi's stage work "I Lombardi" – also at the Prinzregententheater in Munich.

This year marks the 90th birthday of Krzysztof Penderecki (1933–2020), one of the most prominent 21st Century Polish composers. Sacred themes and texts surround the creative work of Penderecki, including many of his large-scale works. This album by the award-winning Latvian Radio Choir under Sigvards Klava consists the majority of his impressive sacred a cappella choral works from five different decades and which are mainly written in Latin. These deeply religious choral works are modern classics in choral repertoire. Recent album by the choir, featuring choral works by John Cage, received nomination for the Gramophone Awards 2023.

Swedish soprano Miah Persson, on her first solo disc with orchestra, has collected a number of Mozartian gems (including Exsultate, jubilate – actually composed for Venanzio Rauzzini, the star castrato of the Teatro Regio Ducale in Milan.) Purity, sweetness and impeccable grace are words that have been used by reviewers to describe Miah Persson’s voice, and with such qualities it is no wonder that her reputation as a Mozart singer is growing.

In August 2015, the 70th anniversary of the American bombing and the end of the World War II, Martha Argerich co-starred with the Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra conducted by Kazuyoshi Akiyama. The monumental live performance is here.

King, is an artist of great integrity, one who carries the heritage of black music in her soul, its rhythmical groove as well as its strong sense of identity and passionate commitment. After a recording pause, King has decided to break her silence. She returns with an album of blazing new tracks, most of which are self-composed.

"Cosmic Hallelujah" is the sixteenth studio album by American country music artist Kenny Chesney. The album was originally scheduled for release July 8, 2016, under the title "Some Town Somewhere". The album has sold 239,500 copies in the United States as of December 2017.
