Fastness is a disc of orchestral music by Nicholas Simpson, who read law at Nottingham University, played guitar in rock bands, and then studied composition with John Tavener at Trinity College of Music, where he won the Chappell Prize for composition and the Ricordi Prize for conducting.

From his hometown of Pfaffenhofen to Munich and Krakow, Michael Kornas studied at the Academy of Music and is now an integral part of the local jazz scene.

Legendary electronic music duo Orbital return with new album Optical Delusion, the Hartnoll brothers first studio album since 2018’s Monster’s Exist. Time for a new Mr.Big album. They convened in a Los Angeles studio and in a matter of six days, the boundless result of all that musical talent is Defying Gravity, with the release of their ninth original studio album. Original members Eric Martin (lead vocals), Paul Gilbert (guitars), Billy Sheehan (bass) and Pat Torpey (drums) reunited with producer Kevin Elson for an intensive six-day recording session in L.A. While Torpey was unable to perform some of the songs on "Defying Gravity" due to a recent diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, Matt Starr has been filling in for him on a majority of the album. Starr also been touring with the band for the past couple of years, with Torpey able to play a couple of songs at each stop.

Jazz pianist, vocalist, and composer Ariel Pocock’s enthralling second album "Living in Twilight" was recorded in Montréal with producer Matt Pierson at the helm. Ariel teams up with in demand Montréal musicians Jim Doxas (drums) and Adrian Vedady (bass) and special guest, New York based guitarist, Chico Pinheiro. The song selection is original, thoughtful and surprising. Ranging from classic American Songbook fare - Ray Noble’s "The Very Thought Of You" and Cole Porter’s "So In Love" to Chick Corea’s "500 Miles" and breathtaking interpretations of Adele’s "Someone Like You" and Sufjan Stevens "To Be Alone With You" presented here as an instrumental. Other stand outs include the title track by The Weepies, "Living in Twilight" and the heartbreaking Kate McGarrigle penned "Go Leave".
