Daron Hagen is a Guggenheim, Rockefeller, and Kennedy Center Friedheim Award-winning composer, with a catalogue of internationally performed work spanning four decades.

With this program entitled Madonna della grazia by allusion to one of the popular songs the component, the Ensemble Il Caravaggio proposes to illustrate a journey around the figure of the Woman in Italy. Mother, washerwoman, beloved, the Woman is portrayed in all these beauties.

The powerhouse singer will release a seven-song EP, Live from the Goldmine, on March 16. The songs are pulled from her album release livestream last year that celebrated the arrival of her debut album, Goldmine, in June.

Along with Reynaldo Hahn, Fauré was the mentor and guiding light of the author’s early years when the young man drew on his conversations with the master and on a re-hearing of Fauré’s scores to expand his musical knowledge and creative thought: ‘I spoke at great length with Fauré last night,’ a 24-year-old Proust confided to Hahn as early as 1895.

For a very long time, the “flûte française” has fascinated both audience and performers. That is not surprising considering that this term covers both areas of instrumental music and of composition. When at the end of the 19th century Paul Taffanel established himself as the founder of the “school of modern flute”, the virtuo- so and composer reached the end of his era. The future belonged to new, extraordinary performers and a completely new music. France was able to offer both.

Escalandrum is a jazz band led by percussionist Daniel “Pipi” Piazzolla, the grandson of Astor Piazzolla, who was one of Argentina’s best known composers. But while Piazzolla’s tango legacy can be felt in some of their music, the band has defined their own mature jazz sound.

Lee "Scratch" Perry OD is a Jamaican record producer and singer noted for his innovative studio techniques and production style. Perry was a pioneer in the 1970s development of dub music with his early adoption of remixing and studio effects to create new instrumental or vocal versions of existing reggae tracks. He has worked with and produced for a wide variety of artists, including Bob Marley and the Wailers, Junior Murvin, the Congos, Max Romeo, Adrian Sherwood, the Beastie Boys, Ari Up, the Clash, the Orb, and many others.

Grouplove released their last album, Healer, on March 13, 2020, the same day the U.S. declared a national emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Sonate a Quattro are the brilliant compositions from Italian composer Gioachino Rossini, written during the summer of 1804 at the young age of 12. These works, at the time, were commonly performed by wind quartet and it wasn’t until 1954 when the original manuscripts were discovered in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. showing their original arrangement for string quartet.

Born in 1994 in Datong China, Ke studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Christopher Elton, Michael Dussek and Andrew West, graduating with a Masters with distinction (DipRAM) in 2017. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral study at Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Professor Joan Havill, Dr Alexander Soares and Rolf Hind.
