Third full-length album by Charles Lloyd & The Marvels, the genre-straddling quintet that features the master saxophonist with Bill Frisell on guitar, Greg Leisz on pedal steel guitar, Reuben Rogers on bass, and Eric Harland on drums. Following the band's 2016 debut 'I Long to See You' and their 2018 collaboration with Lucinda Williams 'Vanished Gardens', the nine dynamic instrumental tracks here include new Lloyd originals along with pieces by Ornette Coleman, Thelonious Monk, Leonard Cohen, Gabor Szabo, and Bola de Nieve.

Pulling from a much larger cache of influences, "Slide" effortlessly slips between genres throughout, even multiple times per track, while still sounding grounded. "Slide" is proof that George Clanton cannot make an experimental album. This is a new form of pop music - simple and nostalgic, and at the same time fresh and exciting.

Recorded in late 2020 in Attic Studios in Blackstaff Mill, Belfast, this album is comprised of our first jams together following our recent hiatus. Things clicked very well, and we were able to bring new ideas and influences to our jams, most notably Tyrell's flute playing. We hope you enjoy these new sounds.

Deceit is the second and final studio album by English experimental rock band This Heat, released in September 1981 by Rough Trade Records. As with their self-titled debut album, the tracks on Deceit were assembled from largely improvised recordings that the band accumulated since their inception in 1976, with varying degrees of audio quality.[citation needed] However, it is generally considered to be more song-oriented than its largely abstract predecessor. The title is in part a pun on the band's name. Deceit is regarded as a classic of the post-punk era, and was ranked at number 73 on Pitchfork's 2018 list of the "The 200 Best Albums of the 1980s".
