Chesky Records would like to introduce its new Binaural+ Series. Binaural sound has been around for a long time, but until now it was just for headphones and could not be enjoyed on speakers. Our Binaural+ Series recordings sound great on headphones and speakers, and capture the sound of music as you would if you were sitting in front of the band. The Binaural+ Series sessions were recorded in high-resolution sound with a special Binaural head (a “dummy” human head with specially calibrated microphones where the ears would be).

Backed by a string section that includes world renowned Cellist, Dave Eggar, Amber Rubarth returns for her sophomore Chesky album to follow up her successful, "Sessions from the 17th Ward". Here is COVER CROP - a lyrical cover concept album of 15 songs I played, sang, engineered, and mixed alone at home in the woods. During the pandemic I started volunteering at an organic farm nearby and became intrigued by cover crops - a farmer’s way of giving back to the land they harvest from by planting something solely to nourish and enrich the soil itself; they do this regularly for sustainability and health of the land. I began looking at my own life through this lens - how am I giving back to what has given to me? I started thinking about everyone who has been such a beautiful support over the years, the land that feeds and inspires me, the many experiences around the world that so deeply fill my heart…
