Turn down the lights, turn up the volume and get transported back in time to a legendary jazz night club on the Sunset Strip in 1957. Songs For Any Taste is one of a trio of live albums Mel Tormé recorded at the Crescendo Club in Los Angeles. This album, the last of the three, fleshes out the remaining unreleased live material with one studio take. Tormé's longtime collaborator Marty Paich plays piano, arranges and leads the band.

After Martèn completed his degree at the Rotterdam Conservatory as a Hammond organist and music performance major in 1983, he began his career as a record producer for well-known international artists and bands such as Samantha Fox and Susan Snyder. Best known for her role in the soap opera As The World Turns, Martèn produced Snyder’s solo singles, also used in the popular serial drama as background music.

Cleveland-based producer Tim Thornton makes music under the moniker Tiger Village. Thornton has carved out a niche in the American experimental underground through the wide-spanning releases of his own label Suite 309, as well as through his day job as a quality control supervisor at the Gotta Groove Records manufacturing plant — meaning that his ears serve as the finish line for a vast slate of vinyl projects that hit the market every year. The Celebration, the fourth Tiger Village release on Hausu Mountain since 2014, joins a catalog that includes releases on Orange Milk, Patient Sounds, and HausMo sublabel Blorpus Editions, along with a battery of music self-released through Suite 309.

2021 saw the reemergence of British folk’s most enigmatic lost son. You may recognize Matt Deighton from his time fronting Acid Jazz heroes Mother Earth; you may remember him as Paul Weller’s guitarist in the late 90’s, or Noel Gallagher’s recommendation for who should replace him when he quit the European tour in 2000. Or maybe you don’t. For almost two decades, the man they keep calling the natural successor to Nick Drake, Davey Graham and John Martyn has been himself more of a rumour – a murmur among musicians, songwriters and diehard music lovers who proudly display his rare vinyl releases like trophies.

A duo with a knack for making music that sounds unearthly yet familiar. The beautiful strangeness of Sarah Versprille and Daniel Hindman's music dominated their 2013 debut album Moon Tides; on later albums, such as 2015's Pray for Rain and 2019's Night Pass, they streamlined their sound and put their catchy songwriting front and center.

The Del Sol Quartet’s world-premiere recording of Huang Ruo’s A Dust In Time traces a meditative journey inspired by Tibetan Buddhist sand mandalas. The album length palindromic passacaglia grows towards ecstasy from silence before returning to its source. The music will be released in conjunction with Felicia Lee’s hand-drawn coloring book, inviting the listener to create your own mandalas in real-time along with Del Sol's euphoric performance.

Anches En Maat is the first new album from Grails in over a half-decade following the masterful Chalice Hymnal in 2017 and their first album recorded with all members in the studio together since Doomsdayer’s Holiday in 2008. With every Grails album released since Doomsdayer’s Holiday being a sprawling double-album endeavor, Anches En Maat was conceived as a return to the comparatively efficient single LP runtime. With that, Grails set out to craft the same sonically dense world that their longer albums showcased, while trading singular indulgences for live collaborative interplay.

On "Silent Ways", Danish vocalist Caecilie Norby interprets her favourite singer/songwriter melodies, from Bob Dylan to Paul Simon, CCR to Soundgarden, charging them up with classical and jazz influences. The almost chamber musical, tranquil form hinted at by the album's title is classical, as is the emotional expressiveness of her interpretations. The jazzy approach lies in her singing technique, in the arrangements and the hand-picked musicians in the band improvising magically together.

"Between or Beyond" from The Mike Nock Underground is a classic fusion of rock, funk and jazz that spins from soulful grooves all the way to the outer edge. A showcase for Nock's virtuosity on piano and especially electric piano, the album had been unavailable on CD for many years. Nock is joined by the rhythm section from his band The Fourth Way, Eddie Marshall on drums and a superb Ron McClure on electric bass.

The Doors, one of the most influential and controversial rock bands of the 1960s, were formed in Los Angeles, California. The 1967 release of The Doors was the first in a series of top ten albums in the US, followed by Strange Days (1967), Waiting for the Sun (1968), The Soft Parade (1969), Morrison Hotel (1970), Absolutely Live (1970) and L.A. Woman (1971), with 19 Gold, 14 Platinum and 5 Multi-Platinum album awards in the United States alone. Although The Doors' active career ended in 1973, their popularity has persisted. According to the RIAA, they have sold 32.5 million certified units in the US. The band has sold over 100 million albums worldwide. The Doors were the first American band to accumulate eight consecutive gold LPs. In 1993, The Doors were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

"Underground" is a 1968 album by American jazz musician Thelonious Monk. It features Monk on piano, Larry Gales on bass, Charlie Rouse on tenor sax, and Ben Riley on drums. The album is widely known for its provocative cover image, which depicts Monk as a fictitious French Resistance fighter in the Second World War. It contains a number of new Monk compositions, some of which appear in recorded form only on this album. This is the last Monk album featuring the Thelonious Monk Quartet, and the last featuring Charlie Rouse.

Lafayette Afro Rock Band was an American funk rock band formed in Roosevelt, Long Island, New York that relocated to France in 1970. Though almost unknown in their native United States, they are now universally celebrated as one of the standout funk bands of the 1970s and admired for their use of break beats.

Released in 1996, "Louder Than Words" was Lionel Richie's first album of new material in 10 years. Fans welcomed Richie back with enthusiasm; the album peaked at number 28 and sold over half-a-million copies in the US.
