This 1960 Norma represents Maria Callas’s final complete documented version of her signature role. Seven recordings of the opera exist with Callas (1950-60), plus numerous snippets and scenes captured between 1949 and 1965. "Fetch the Bolt Cutters" is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Fiona Apple. It was Apple's first release since "The Idler Wheel" in 2012. Apple began recording the album in 2015, producing and performing it alongside Amy Aileen Wood, Sebastian Steinberg and Davíd Garza. It features a percussive and idiosyncratic sound, lyrically exploring freedom from oppression and Apple's relationships with women. The album received universal critical acclaim upon its release and is currently the highest-rated album of all time on review aggregator Metacritic.

Reyko (stylized "REYKO") are a London-based electropop duo, consisting of vocalist Soleil and producer and multi instrumentalist Igor (both are from Spain). The duo's debut single, "Spinning Over You", was the official song for a major 2018 ad campaign by El Corte Ingles and became a radio hit in Spain, peaking at #13 nationally. In 2018, Reyko were nominated for best new artist in LOS40 Music Awards. In March 2020, the duo released their self-titled debut album, which includes their previously released singles.

Originally released in 1975, "Jesucristo Superstar" is Nacho Artime and Jaime Azpilicueta's Spanish-language adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's rock opera, which tells the story of the last days of Christ from the point of view of Judas. Recorded at Madrid's Kirios studios, this two-disc, 25-track collection features Camilo Sesto in the lead role, Angela Carrasco as Mary Magdalene, and Teddy Bautista as Judas.

"Automaton" is the eighth studio album by English funk/acid jazz band Jamiroquai. It is the band's first album in seven years. It was a number-one album in Italy and peaked at number 2 in Switzerland, number 3 in France, and number 4 in the UK. The lead singer, Jay Kay, described the inspiration for Automaton: "in recognition of the rise of artificial intelligence and technology in our world today and how we as humans are beginning to forget the more pleasant, simple and eloquent things in life and in our environment including our relationship with one another as human beings". Upon release the album received generally positive reviews. At Metacritic, which assigns a normalised rating out of 100 to reviews from music critics, the album received an average score of 69, which indicates "generally favorable reviews".

Leoš Janáček and the generation younger Béla Bartók and Igor Stravinsky were major 20th-century composers markedly influenced by folk music, bringing it to bear in their own creations. Their works feature on the remarkable new album Village Stories of the world-renowned Prague Philharmonic Choir, led by Lukáš Vasilek. Stravinsky’s Les noces, Janáček’s Nursery Rhymes and Bartók’s Village Scenes are brought back to life on new recordings. Vasilek invited to the studio superb soloists, including the soprano Kateřina Kněžíková, the mezzo-soprano Jana Hrochová, the tenor Boris Stepanov and the baritone Jiří Brückler, as well as the outstanding pianists Zoltán Fejérvári and Kirill Gerstein, the Zemlinsky Quartet and the Belfiato Quintet. With the eight solo improvisations that make up Dark Radiance, percussionist, performance artist and composer Ying-Hsueh Chen (b. 1983) takes listeners on a journey through subtle musical movements that meticulously weave the past into the present in a remarkable manner. Nearly every piece is devoted to a single instrument, and each, for the most part, emerges from a single musical gesture or action, creating sounds from the thunderous to the delicate.

This inventively curated album from the ever exploratory Solem Quartet presents music that is awash with colour. The refined beauty of Edmund Finnis’s Devotions and stained-glass luminosity of Camden Reeves’s The Blue Windows are complemented by works by Lili Boulanger and Henriëtte Bosmans from the early twentieth century, when the depth and vividness of colour in Impressionist paintings seemed to spill into music.

This recording, along with the forthcoming Vol.2, represents a first, comprehensive anthology of the Russian nocturne in its nearly two-hundred-year development. Some nocturnes are recorded here for the first time. The earliest Russian nocturnes were composed by Mikhail Glinka (1804–1857) and owe a debt to his teacher, the Irish composer John Field. The first, in E flat, was written in 1828 before his first trip to Italy. His Nocturne in F minor ‘La Séparation’, written at the height of his career, is styled like a ‘romance’ (song) without words.
