Per Mathisen is a Norwegian jazz bassist and composer who has worked with Terri Lyne Carrington, Geri Allen, Gary Thomas, Bill Bruford, Alex Acuña, Gary Husband, Ralph Peterson, Nguyen Le and Terje Rypdal. He is married to pianist Olga Konkova and is the brother of Hans Mathisen, Nils Mathisen, and Ole Mathisen.

After completing his academic education in 1865, Fauré was primarily active as a church musician and worked at the parish church „La Madeleine“ in Paris from 1877 to 1905.

Anne Akiko Meyers presents "The Four Seasons: The Vivaldi Album", also featuring the Vivaldi Triple Concerto (where she plays all 3 parts) and Arvo Part’s "Passacaglia" with the English Chamber Orchestra. "The Four Seasons" is a compilation of four violin concertos, Vivaldi's best known classical compositions originally published in 1725. Each concerto represents and evokes a respective season, "Spring", "Summer", "Autumn", and "Winter". This mark the debut recording of the ‘Ex-Vieuxtemps’.

"A Tribute to Jack Johnson" is a soundtrack composed by Miles Davis to accompany a documentary film about the life of boxer Jack Johnson. For the score, Davis said he wanted to put together what he called "the greatest rock and roll band you have ever heard." The line-up featured John McLaughlin and Sonny Sharrock (guitars), Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea (keyboards), Bennie Maupin (clarinet), and Jack DeJohnette and Billy Cobham (drums). Produced by Teo Macero, the soundtrack was recorded in two sessions between February and April of 1970. Both sessions took place at the 30th Street Studio in New York City.
