The She’s have been making music together since they were young teens. Their new 2017 release, which they self-produced with Merrill Garbus, is called “all female rock and roll quartet”, a reductive description they often hear. By reclaiming it as the title of their sophomore album, the San Francisco-based band turns the designation into a source of strength.

After being declared the "Best New Band In Britain" and having their glam-pop debut album go Gold in a matter of weeks, Suede were under enormous pressure to make their follow-up album just as much of a media event. Although it did not sell on the same scale as their chart-topping debut, Dog Man Star reached number three on the UK Album Chart and was certified as gold by the BPI in November 1994. This digitally remastered and expanded 20th anniversary Blu-Ray Pure Audio edition features the non-album A and B-sides as bonus tracks.

The Clarinotts are formed of father Ernst and his sons Daniel (both solo clarinettists at Vienna Philharmonic) and Andreas Ottensamer (solo clarinettist at Berlin Philharmonic) – dubbed the Viennese ‘royal family of clarinet’. The ensemble goes back to when Daniel and Andreas were children and the family played music together at home. Now the Clarinotts are a successful touring ensemble, dedicated to creating and playing the most virtuosic music for multiple clarinets. The program of the album is centred around music for the stage and includes pieces by Mendelssohn, Mozart, Rossini and many others, and features the Wiener Virtuosen string ensemble.

When 26-year-old Carmell Jones left his native Kansas for California in August 1960, he made an immediate impact on the high-calibre West Coast jazz scene. Snapped up exclusively by Pacific Jazz, he recorded his first album as a leader, The Remarkable Carmell Jones, the following June.
