They will be introduced with different types of software testing such as White box, black box and gray box testing.

They will be introduced to the concept of automated software testing through ATLM - Automated Software Testing Lifecycle Methodology. A couple of automated testing tools such as Selenium and WebLoad will be taught as well.

Concepts related to different stages of testing such as unit testing, regression testing, integration testing and acceptance testing are also introduced. They will be taught different phases of Software Testing Lifecycle - STLC. In the first phase of STLC, students will learn different techniques of requirements gathering and how to create a requirements traceability matrix - RTM. Then they will learn about test strategy and test planning. They will learn how to create, manage and execute a test plan. In the next phase, students will be taught how to write test cases, both for functional and non-functional testing. A template will be provided for this purpose.
