Description

Bharatanatyam is one of India's oldest and most popular classical dance forms, originating in Tamil Nadu in the southern part of the country. It has a rich cultural heritage and is traditionally performed as a solo dance by women, although male dancers also perform it. The dance form combines expressive gestures, intricate footwork, and graceful movements, often accompanied by classical Carnatic music (a genre of Indian classical music).The word "Bharatanatyam" is derived from three Sanskrit words:Bha: Bhava (emotion or expression)Ra: Raga (melody)Ta: Tala (rhythm)Natyam: DanceThis course is suitable for beginners with no prior dance experience.
