Colour therapy is not new. The interest in colour dates back thousands of years – as far back as the ancient cultures of Egypt, India and China. It is a complementary therapy which uses colour to promote health and well-being and while it is used as a standalone therapy, it is also a perfect therapy to aid orthodox treatments and to boost the healing process.

There are seven visible colours to the spectrum i.e. red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet and these resonate with the energy of the seven main chakras – the energy centres of the body. All of the chakras must be balanced and operational for your physical and emotional well-being.

So your health will be achieved and maintained by balancing these energies. In colour therapy, it is possible to re-balance and/or stimulate these energies by using the appropriate colour.
