Sony Classical is proudly presents "Domingo at the MET", a triple Anniversary set with many previously unreleased live recordings celebrating Plácido Domingo’s 45th season at the Metropolitan Opera.

As with their other releases, on A Tenors Christmas, the Three Tenors – Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo, and Luciano Pavarotti – share the spotlight on some songs and take it individually on others. The Tenors are at their best on A Tenors Christmas when performing traditional holiday songs and holiday pop numbers; their version of John Lennon's "Happy Christmas/War is Over" is somewhat awkward, but fortunately most of the album delivers holiday cheer with a dramatic, operatic flair.

Quite possibly the definitive studio recording of Verdi’s opera masterpiece, this stunning performance, brilliantly conducted by Kleiber, features multiple Grammy-winning tenor Plácido Domingo and the legendary soprano Ileana Cotrubaş. Originally recorded in 1977, this new high-definition release lends an unheard clarity to this already essential recording.
