Love songs, favorite songs. Marianne Mendt has fulfilled her wish to record songs that will accompany her throughout her life with a dream ensemble orchestra.
In September 2025, Marianne Mendt will celebrate her incredible 80th birthday and is not a bit quiet about it. Since the beginning of the year, an anniversary tour has been taking them through the country in various formations and here, among other things, on November 1st in a special setting with big band and guests to the Vienna Konzerthaus.
Marianne Mendt has also fulfilled a wish to round off: to record ballads with a large orchestra!
“I Wish You Love" contains love and favorite songs that have been part of her repertoire since her beginnings - in her so-called “Tingelzeit” from Stockholm to Paris - and have accompanied her in many programs since then.
Marianne Mendt has also invited special guests and esteemed colleagues for three titles: Ina Regen, Viktor Gernot, Conchita Wurst.
Co-producer and musical director of the album is the long-time musical companion Thomas Kugi.
