Goodwin is the solo project of Rob Goodwin. Frontman and baritone vocalist of Manchester’s cinematic, indie-pop band, The Slow Show.
The frontman of The Slow Show steps into the spotlight alone, crafting intimate tales of love, loss, and quiet bravery. Born in the stillness of his German home and shaped in the creative hum of Neukölln, Berlin, Goodwin’s music is a tender exploration of vulnerability and connection.
In late 2023 during a respite in touring with his band, Goodwin started to work on something for himself. A collection of intimate recordings, stories more suited to a quieter, rawer space.
Inspired by the moody atmospheres of Leonard Cohen and Nick Drake, these deeply personal songs have vulnerability at their core. Romantic, dreamlike stories for people to curl up and escape in.
