"Music Complete" is New Order's first full studio release since 2005's "Waiting For The Siren's Call", and their debut for Mute. The album finds the group revitalised, and where they had previously pushed toward electronics or guitars, here the two are in balance. Music Complete also marks a return to the studio for Gillian Gilbert, this is her first album with New Order since 2001's "Get Ready".

Scott Hamilton is a jazz tenor saxophonist associated with swing and mainstream jazz. Hamilton emerged in the 1970s and at the time was considered to be one of the few musicians of real talent who carried the tradition of the classic jazz tenor saxophone in the style of Ben Webster, Coleman Hawkins as well as Zoot Sims and Don Byas forward. Hamilton has recorded more than 40 albums as a lead.

"Ascenseur pour l'échafaud" is an album by jazz musician Miles Davis. It was recorded at Le Poste Parisien Studio in Paris on December 4 and 5, 1957. The album features the musical cues for the 1958 Louis Malle film "Ascenseur pour l'échafaud".

Around 1958 Jack and I played our first gig in Charlotte Harbour’s basement in Washington, DC. I was the singer and played rhythm guitar and Jack played lead.

La Ciudad de las Columnas (2004) by the Cuban composer, guitarist and conductor Leo Brouwer, is an evocation of various scenes of Havana, his home. It is subtitled Variations on Piece without title No. 1 which is called here “Andar la Habana” and is proceeded by the introduction.

For pianist and composer Matthew Sheens, an accident inspired a new composition, which tonight has its Perth debut.
Written in the Dark is a through-composed piece written while Sheens was convalescing after a bike crash that left him with a broken leg and hand. Comprised of 10 sections, this piece explores many different musical terrains, while sustaining compositional ideas throughout. While the work can be described as a technically demanding weird dream, there is still huge scope for improvisation by the entire quartet. Featuring Hugh Stuckey (guitar), Sam Anning (bass) and Tim Firth (drums), this performance ties up Sheens’ Australian album release tour.
