Polly Gibbons descends from a grand tradition of jazz and blues women whose singing exudes strength, defiance and sassy wit. There are many pretenders to that throne, but Gibbons artistry demands attention. Gibbons possesses a raspy, lived-in tone, a walloping sense of swing and a dramatic flair that grabs the heart. Emotionally, her singing ranges from a slow burn to a bonfire; interpretively, she always rings true. In London jazz circles, Gibbons has been acquiring a growing chorus of champions since her emergence a decade ago.

"Moon Landing" is the fourth studio album from British singer-songwriter James Blunt. The album is produced by Tom Rothrock (Beck, Moby, Foo Fighters), who worked with James on his multi-platinum selling debut "Back To Bedlam" , with additional production from Martin Terefe (KT Tunstall, Martha Wainwright, Jason Mraz). The deluxe album format contains three additional tracks – “Telephone”, “Kiss This Love Goodbye” and “Hollywood”.

The much-admired Australian piano trio Trichotomy (a band with Esbjörn Svensson Trio associations but independent compositional interests and a distinctive group feel) are launching their fifth album - an advance into more electronic territory without sacrificing their rugged, hooky themes and savvy pacing and drama.

"The Way Is Read", a twelve-song album by the English trio The Staves – Emily, Jessica, and Camilla Staveley-Taylor (all vocals) – and New York City–based ensemble yMusic. After being commissioned in 2016 by Justin Vernon’s Eaux Claires Festival to collaborate on a live performance piece, The Staves delved deep into yMusic’s catalogue of contemporary classical compositions to find pieces suited to their lyrics and vocals. While the Festival is known for bringing musicians together for one-off performances, this is the first time one of those partnerships has made the leap into a studio album.

The final recording by legendary jazz fusion pioneers Larry Coryell and Alphonse Mouton in the reformed the Eleventh House in their "Seven Secrets". The late guitarist Coryell assembled founding members Randy Brecker (trumpet), long-timer John Lee (bass), the addition of son Julian (guitar) and the late Alphonse Mouzon (drums) to bring the rock and funk back to jazz again with a batch of eleven powerhouse tracks. The album is truly a group effort with Coryell relying on each member to contribute compositions to the new album, like he did back in the 70s.

André Minvielle invites us to follow a path of music going through a few languages of jazz, which Jon Hendricks being at the source of some of them. Jon Hendricks is one of the pioneers of this art called “vocalese” in the US which consists on putting words into solos, historical themes of great solo jazz composers. Jon Hendricks has been side by side with the greatest musicians such as Art Tatum, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker among others, he is the ultimate reference for all great singers from nowadays such as Al Jarreau or Bobby Mac Ferrin.
