Two years on since her last studio album, Susan Wong returns with a new album and a fresh direction. Working with Swiss based producer, Adrien Zerbini and Spanish guitarist Ignacio Lamas, Susan took a more 'hands on' approach for the 13 new songs recorded in Switzerland in early 2009. The opening song on the album is a bossa nova influenced version of the Earth Wind & Fire classic, "September".

Jethro Tull's classic 1972 concept album, newly remixed and remastered by Steven Wilson. The album contains a continuous piece of music, split over two sides of an LP record, and is a parody of the concept album genre. The original packaging, designed like a newspaper, claims the album to be a musical adaptation of an epic poem by fictional eight-year-old genius Gerald Bostock, though the lyrics were actually written by the band's frontman, Ian Anderson.

"Infidels" is Bob Dylan's 22nd studio album. It is seen by many as Dylan's return to secular music, after having recorded three evangelical and gospel records. The album focused on more personal themes of love and loss, as well as commentary on environmentalism and geopolitics. Many critics considered "Infidels" to be Dylan's best work since "Blood on the Tracks".

"Say That To Say This" follows Trombone Shorty's Grammy-nominated "For True" which spent twelve weeks at #1 on Billboard's contemporary jazz chart and garnered rave reviews from major news outlets including Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, Billboard, USA TODAY, and NPR. Trombone Shorty's new album, Say That To Say This was co-produced by Trombone Shorty (Troy Andrews) and Grammy-nominated R&B virtuoso, Raphael Saadiq. The album also features Trombone Shorty performing with funk legends, the original Meters with Cyril Neville on "Be My Lady", marking The Meters' first studio recording together since 1977.

Although the album features such traditional rock instrumentation as guitars, bass and drums, it also features organs, keyboards and indian sitars, which help lend a spacey yet organic feel to some songs. Beck's experimental space-age folk rock album done with his backup band and produced by Nigel Godrich (Radiohead).

The half-Finnish Sinikka sets "The half-finished heaven" - and other verse by Tomas Tranströmer - on her fourth album for ECM. “Despondency breaks off its course / Anguish breaks off its course / The vulture breaks off its flight. / The eager light streams out …” Such vivid images establish a tone for what is primarily an instrumental album this time, with a striking blend of sound-colours in music written by Langeland.
