Wings Of Decay, recently formed in 2017 as a side project to Lorraine Cross (established 2012), deliver a powerful punch of heavy metal. With just one album as Lorraine Cross, and a mere 50 live shows under their belt, the band have been catching the eyes and ears of fans and industry worldwide, resulting in the recent signing to worldwide agency Metal Music Bookings and Management, and look forward to a successful touring future ahead.
Wings Of Decay takes influence from the members roots both in the purest heavy metal tradition, and by exploring related styles such as power, speed and even trash metal. Shortly after forming the band, the crew quickly finalised a number of compositions, the only missing element was the vocals, and through relentless auditions, the band found Tony Van Hagen, who brought a unique vocal identity, and power to the now complete band.
Barely 3 weeks after Tony's audition, the band recorded their first 6 track demo, well received by the chroniclers who followed the beginnings of the band, it served as a basis for the preparation of their live shows to come.
After harnessing and creating their stage sound through a number of live gigs and festivals, Lorraine Cross then hit the studio in April 2014 to start the recording of their debut album, "Army Of Shadows", at 'Manigance' Studios with Francois Merle engineering their recording journey.
The bands debut album was released in August 2016 via Mighty Music, receiving international distribution resulting in a warm welcome from fans, and specialised press worldwide.
Lorraine Cross then ventured out on its first tour abroad, heading out as support for California's CAGE throughout Spain and Portugal. The band was evolving more and more with a clear aim of performing powerful shows, with original and effective compositions, all in the lead up to the recording of their second Album, with the release date still to be confirmed.
As the newly formed project Wings Of Decay, expect the sound, success and perseverance of Lorraine Cross, with much much more.
