Peter Evans - Anatomy of Anarchy (2024) [Official Digital Download]

Oliwood is a project from Berlin drummer/composer Oli Steidle. For each production he lines up with a new group of people to perform, record and release music, written especially for the present formation.
The first release "Euphoria" featured Frank Gratkowski (as), Kalle Kalima (guitar) and Trevor Dunn (ba). The music without a doubt is framed as Rock, Neue Musik and Groove + Improvisation.
For the second release Steidle wanted to create a complete acoustic line up and music which is based on short tunes, leading to sometimes harmonious, sometimes competitive ways of playing together (with each other).
The title should underline the way of how they make their ways through the tunes: freedom in what they are doing but a big responsibility for each other and the music.
