Hippie Hurrah is a Montreal neo-psychedelic band formed by Cédric Marinelli, Miles Dupire-Gagnon and Gabriel Lambert. Three musicians who have signed some of the most acclaimed albums of the Quebec garage, pop and psychedelic movement of the last decade, within the formations Anemone, Elephant Stone and The Marinellis. After an eponymous disc, released in 2021, the trio launched an individual exhibition in 2023. A concept album imagined around the work of the artist Jacques Hurtubise (1939-2014). Two years after this release praised wall to wall by the critics, Hippie Hurrah closes the loop by announcing the birth of a major immersive experience: Hurtubise: Seize the Chaos. Co-signed by Normal Studio, this multimedia work will project animated paintings at 360 ° — on a dome-screen — superimposed on an original soundtrack by the group, to be released in June 2025 by Simone Records, simultaneously with the start of the screenings.
