Momoe Yamaguchi (山口 百恵) is a Japanese former singer, actress, and idol whose career lasted from 1972 to 1980. Often simply referred to by her given name "Momoe", Yamaguchi is one of the most successful singers in Japanese music, releasing 32 singles, including three number one hits, and 21 studio albums. Complete Momoe Kaiki is a complilation album of an old songs, some tracks were remastered in the new arrangements.

Maestro Sergiu Celibidache was one of the most uncompromising figures in the music world, demanding three times as much rehearsal time as other conductors and with an ardent dislike of making recordings because he feared they misrepresented his musical intentions. This recording of Anton Bruckner's fifth symphony was made in October 1986 in Japanese Suntory Hall.

Sergiu Celibidache and the Münchner Philharmoniker revisited Japan after 4 years, in October 1990. The performance on the last day, was selected as the best orchestra concert in the year, receiving rave reviews from the local media. "Master of Puppets" is the third studio album by Metallica. Recorded at the Sweet Silence Studios with producer Flemming Rasmussen, it was the first Metallica album released on a major label. "Master of Puppets" was the band's last album to feature bassist Cliff Burton, who died in a bus crash in Sweden during the album's promotional tour. The album peaked at number 29 on the Billboard 200 and became the first thrash metal album to be certified platinum. It was certified 6× platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America in 2003 for shipping six million copies in the United States. The album was eventually certified 6× platinum by Music Canada and gold by the British Phonographic Industry.

For a musician, encountering a composer's work or a certain part of the repertoire may come at a time more or less favourable to the understanding of the music in question. It really doesn't matter: "You have to start them early", said Pablo Casals of the mighty works that impudent youths tackled with gusto. A work absorbed in this way, continues its underground route over the years before emerging at the appropriate time, and obviously and ingenuously declaring: "I'm here! Have you been expecting me?"

These days, Aarre Merikanto (1893–1958) is one of the best-known early 20th century modernists in Finnish classical music. In his early years, he composed in the National Romantic style, but by the time he was 23, he had developed a much more progressive style. By the beginning of the 1920s, he was writing in a modern, free-tonal musical language with a strong focus on timbral colour. Merikanto himself considered his “radical” style to be innate, but we know he was in fact inspired by Debussy and Scriabin, and especially Sibelius’ Fourth Symphony. After moving from the countryside back to Helsinki in 1928, Merikanto started actively networking with other Finnish composers, which also had an effect on his music.
